If you have an aftermarket ECU in your LS, you’ve got to get a hold of Scott Clark @ RealTuners, LLC.
He’s the guy who remote’s into my laptop to tune my Turbo Camaro.
Its best you have some sort of mechanical knowledge/diagnosing knowledge though or have someone who does that way you can diagnose locally if there is an issue that needs to be looked at. For example, a boost leak, or verifying timing at the engine vs what your ECU is reporting.
He is very skilled at tuning, especially modified LS combinations with aftermarket ECUs.
Currently I’m at 7# boost to knock out any issues on my setup. Fixing to swap out springs to bump it up to 15#. Then next month I’m getting a LS engine with aftermarket internals and heads built for some real boost! Stay tuned!
At any rate, here’s a vid of my Camaro on a cold morning.

Raspberry Pi Dash
If you’re like me, the default gauge package you install is probably real gauges. I’m running the SpeedHut gauge package that was around $700 or so with a GPS speedo.
With technology and an ECU like the one I’m running, the EFI Source Gold Box you’re able to run TunerStudio and take advantage of making your own gauges or modifying the gauges that come with it. TunerStudio is written in Java, so most newer operating systems like Linux and Windows are able to run this natively. Hell, you can even replace ALL OF YOUR GAUGES for about $135.
Here comes the Raspberry PI. Its a small computer that many have used for things such as retro-gaming, small computing and various projects. What I’m doing is setting up a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with a 7″ touch screen display, 64GB microSD card, Raspbian Linux, GPS and of course, TunerStudio.
In one pic you’ll see my gauges in full screen mode. I’ll make a video reviewing this setup soon.

New shoes for the Turbo Camaro
Picked up some 15×3.5 and 15×12 Champion Billet Stripster Wheels for the Turbo Camaro along with some 315x60x15 ET Street Radials for the back. Found out I need some spacers for the front and longer wheel studs. Also need to set the ride height. Getting closer…

Time for another update…
WOW.. didnt realize I hadnt updated since early November 2016. With the holidays coming up, not much work was done. Actually, very little other than spend money for parts that were needed. Lots of the wiring is done and is gettin there.
Ended up picking up a Cool Mist water/methanol injection kit, Derale oil cooler with a fan, Derale trans cooler, a steam vent kit for LS engines, 2 JEGS race seats. In my previous post I mentioned that I bought a el-cheapo refurb laptop to learn tuning. Since I’m running EFI Source MS3-Gold I needed to learn how to tune this beast. Sloppy Mechanics has a series of videos you can buy that explain how to do so with real-time dyno vids and explanations. Its well worth the money.
OH. Forgot, I did remove the center section. My 4.30 gears would be no fun on the street. It had quite a bit of slop, so either it had used gears in it or they were just worn the hell out. I’ll remove the rear, wire brush itHopefully in the next week or two lots more progress will be complete.
